Xixiposaurus suni

(Sun Ge's Xixipo lizard)Etymology
Xixiposaurus is derived from "Xixipo" (the Village in which it was discovered) and the Greek "sauros" (lizard). The species epithet, suni, honors Professor Sun Ge of Jilin University.
In Portuguese "Xixi" means pee-pee (as in wee). There's no link, we just thought you might like to know.
Discovery
The remains of Xixiposaurus were discovered in the Lower Lufeng Formation at Xixipo, Yunnan, China. The holotype (ZL J0108, housed at the World Dinosaur Valley, Lufeng) includes a partial skull, 8 cervical (neck), 12 dorsal (back) and 5 caudal (tail) vertebrae, the right ilim, pubis and ischium (hip bones), bones from both arms, and a right leg minus most of the foot.
