Qiupalong henanensis

Qiupalong is a combination of "Qiupa" (referring to the formation and the village in which it was discovered) and the Chinese "Long" (dragon).
The
species epithet,
henanensis, means "from Henan" in Latin.
Discovery
The remains of
Quipalong were discovered in the Qiupa Formation, in a quarry near Qiupa village, Tantou Basin, Luanchuan County, Henan Province, China.
The
holotype (HGM 41HIII-0106) is partial skeleton,
including hip bones (parts of both ilia, pubes, and ischia), and the right shin, ankle and heel, metatarsals, and toe bones.
