Dinochecker's "Feed the Animals" fund!

Support and Donations

We get it. Ad-heavy websites suck. That's why we only have a single unobtrusive Google ad per page. Truth be told, we would rather have no ads at all. But this website has to pay its way just like the rest of us, and clickable ads are the most convenient way to help out, because they don't cost you a penny. However, if you really can't bear to switch off your adblocker whilst you peruse, there are other ways you can help to keep DinoChecker liquid.
PayPal
The donations wotsit for DinoChecker is set to accept what we English like to call "quids" which are pounds (£s), but fear not...

Clicking the "donate" button will take you to paypal who will convert the quids (as many as you like) to your currency at the current exchange rate automagically, which means you don't have to do any sums.

Rest assured, all donations will be ploughed straight back into the site to cover things like bandwidth usage, domain rental, and peanuts for the highly trained monkeys who keep the database running smoothly, fix broken links, and generally keep the place clean and tidy.

Amazon
We have hunted down hundreds of web links for scientific papers that are attached to our dinosaur entries as points of reference, so you can download them for free. However, some papers are only available as chapters in good ol' fashioned books and they're mostly available on Amazon. Our references section includes links to such books, and if you click those links and buy said books we will earn a miniscule percentage by way of commission (only from the .com and co.uk sites). But get this; you don't even have to buy "that" book to help us out. As long as you go to Amazon via our link, anything you buy during "that" visit is elligable for commission. How cool is that?
Other associates
As with Amazon, we have cosied up to several other suppliers who will pay us a tiny commision if you arrive at their site and make a purchase via our links below.

lootcrate
Lootcrate: a subscription service where you swap cash for a crate of mystery goods that is valued at much more than the amount you pay for it. Every month has a different theme (eg; May's theme is "Guardians"). By following the link from DinoChecker you will receive a $5 discount, and we will receive the same.

forbiddenplanet
Forbidden Planet: the world's largest and best-known science fiction, fantasy and cult entertainment retailer! Specialising in action figures (including Sideshow and Hot Toys), books, DVDs and toys, plus the best merchandise from the cult cream of movies and television.

Many thanks in advance, and carry on enjoying the site!
